Original mixed media painting on wood.

The inspiration for this piece is the frequent graffiti that is seen in sometimes the most beautiful of places and my respect for this art form however intrusive it can seem. I have included fabric into this piece together with gold leaf, to symbolise the marrying of two extremes.

The inspiration for this painting was in response to the memory of my sister & I arriving home to her South London home to find graffiti on the side wall. She dashed inside, grabbed a can of paint and painted over it quick as a flash. Her explanation being that if she left it for any period of time, it would attract more.

This painting is presented in a beautiful wide frame handprinted in Farrow & Ball All White. It has a special place in my heart.
